Statement
For my works I use fresh, green wood. The trees from which the wood comes, come from the region and were usually felled due to disease. Mostly it is old, large trees that have grown in prominent places and with which much history is associated.My concern is to let these trees live on, to give their stories a new home. At the lathe I make filigree, thin-walled vessels and objects. Whereby my work contributes only a part to the finished piece, the wood itself shrinks and warps as it dries, thereby shaping their final form.
