Statement

I am engaged in the production of asymmetrical wooden vessels. To give the objects additional tension, I turn them partly on different axes. Currently, I am also experimenting with free vessel sculptures. For my works I prefer to use wet oak wood. The objects, which I work out to a few millimeters, deform during subsequent drying. Decisive for the degree of deformation are the grain as well as the grain and the inner tension of the wood. The outer surface of the coarse-pored wooden object is given a haptic appearance by brushing. During the surface treatment, the vessels are smoked, blackened and / or leached and finally oiled or treated with repeated soap suds.
