From origin to form - bowls made from local Prettau copperThe development of these works is the path from the local Prettau cement copper to the artistically designed copper bowl: from the smelting of the raw material in a specially designed shaft furnace, to the re-melting and casting of copper ingots, to the forging of sheets and the forging of the bowl shape. The traces of this process materialize in a unique surface, which is the unmistakable character of these bowls.
The special feature of these new bowls is that they were each worked from an ingot of "Prettau copper". The irregular rim of the bowl, which was created by forging, was deliberately left as it is. Origin, materiality and workmanship are thereby again strengthened to the expression.
