Statement
I´m applying as a member of the group Swedish Material Makers. We are 5 artists working with international exhibitions and exchange programs within the contemporary craft field. Our group started 2011 with a Swedish-German exchange in Schleswig-Holstein and since then we have continued to exhibit together. http://www.swedishmaterialmakers.seThe approach to my work has always been based on lust for colours and shapes and a strong will to see how far I can take my expressions. The foundation of my work is the possibilities of glass. Typical for my work is that they are compiled with several separate parts. This method has given me the opportunity to work with different shapes and formats.
One of my inspirations is nature and it´s oppotunity to appear both beauty and threatening at same time. My work strives to catch that which is complex and random in nature and it uses the ability of glass to express the weight of the different components of the plant and parts of sea creatures.
