Statement

Since I photographed a young man wearing an extremely long pearl necklace in New York in 2010, I have been exploring the theme of the classic pearl necklace. My pearls are made of silver and are not strung, but are mechanically connected by means of a ball and socket joint. These necklaces can be worn by men and women, and I notice that more and more often I see men wearing not the rapper gold necklaces, but fancy long necklaces with a design appeal.
